Sir Cyrus Titus Nkangwung, JP, born on September 19, 1966, hails from Unyeada Town in Andoni LGA, Rivers State. He holds an N.C.E Certificate and a B.Ed in Biology from Rivers State College of Education, Port Harcourt, and obtained Master’s Degrees in Public Administration and Msc. Arid Zone Ecology from the University of Maiduguri. With a background in academia, he served as a senior lecturer at Federal Polytechnic Damaturu and authored numerous textbooks in Human Biology and Ecology. He is an active member of professional associations including the Biotechnology Society of Nigeria and the Nigeria Environmental Society. His contributions to society have been recognized through awards from various organizations. He was the Zonal Director of National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA) Port Harcourt Zonal Office from 2014 to 2020, where he served meritoriously. Currently, he serves as the Director of Occupational Health and Safety at the Agency’s Head Office in Abuja. He is married to Lady Grace Nkangwung and they are blessed with three children.
